Furthermore, joining a student organization provides you with opportunities to join or spearhead activities and projects that will shape your perception of the world and the people around you. With all the issues that affect humanity, the call for the youth to be actively involved in addressing these issues has become more resonating more than ever. The young generation is expected to create a better future for everyone. General Mariano Alvarez Technical High School (GMATHS) is a premier educational institution where different students’ organizations lead. The Student Organization specifically aims to:

1. Enhance the leadership traits and skills of the students;

2. Equip students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitude to be locally and globally competitive and productive GMATHSians

DIFFERENT STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS

• SUPREME STUDENT GOVERNMENT (SSG) – is the highest democratic representative of the student body.

• ENGLISH DRAMA CLUB (EDC) – provides opportunities for the students to develop social, physical and mental abilities and to show their talents in dancing, acting, singing, creative writing, visual arts, film making and event organizing.

• YOUTH FOR ENVIRONMENT IN SCHOOLS ORGANIZATION (YES-O) – to inculcate the mind of all GMATHSians with the preservation and conservation of natural resources towards sustainable development.

• GMATHS MATHEMATICS CLUB – to promote interest and awareness of mathematics throughout the GMATHS Community.

• KAPISANAN NG MGA MAG-AARAL SA FILIPINO (KAMAGFIL) – to develop students’ awareness in Filipino Culture and Language.

• IRISES ARTS CLUB (IAC) – to create a safe, encouraging and dynamic space in which students can express themselves and explore their artistic abilities.

• GMATHS DRUM AND GLOCKENSPIEL – to empower music and give every student an opportunity to share his/her love for music.

• GMATHS VOCAL ENSEMBLE (the official Choir Group of the School) - enhances and improves the student’s voice quality and builds confidence in performing live on the stage as a singer.

• TEEN HEALTH CLUB – School-based teen health kiosk – to ensure co-adolescents possess access to quality health care services in an adolescent-friendly environment.
