GMATHS preps for ISO 1st surveillance audit

March 20, 2021, by: Cindy S. Lauigan

To maintain its International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certification, General Mariano Alvarez Technical High School (GMATHS) conducted a series of activities from January to March 2021 in preparation for the ISO 1st Surveillance Audit on March 29, 2021.

ISO facilitator, Ms. Diana Jean Delagon, together with each unit head and documenters, reviewed the procedures, records, and forms in January 25 at GMATHS Conference Hall. Then, a refresher program to all auditors was conducted in March 1, and to all unit heads and documenters in March 2 from 8:00AM to 4:00PM. These activities allowed those involved to clarify concerns about the revisions and adjustments due to the effects of Coronavirus (COVID19) pandemic to Quality Management System (QMS).

In March 8-11, internal auditors conducted their scheduled audit on their assigned units. Results of the said audit were reported and discussed in the Management Review held on March 19, 2021 at GMATHS Conference Hall.

Through these, GMATHS hopes to keep its ISO certification for another year and continue to provide quality Technical and Vocational Education despite the challenges brought by the pandemic.
